Fabrication Drawings

For the renovation of the Herberger College of Art and Design Office of Student Success, on the ASU campus, the client’s primary concerns were representation and branding, flexible display of student work, and budget.

I designed this deceptively simple statement wall system to be made with readily available dimensional lumber in the school’s shop. A series of holes create a decorative pattern, but also a pegboard-like wall to display student work. This created a curved wall to accentuate the vertical elements, contrasting the different types of LINES - the concept for the space.

Laser Cutting Lace

For the Camp interactive art installation, I wanted to make cardboard not look like cardboard. Taking advantage of cardboards ability to be laser cut also let me play with light to create a glowing “lace” dress. These same shapes in acrylic became the foundation for COCO @ Camp, a larger theoretical installation designed in collaboration with an art student.
